Who Are We?

Welcome to WUOG 90.5FM, UGA’s only student-run alternative media outlet! Founded in 1972, WUOG has been broadcasting student music, news, sports, and talk at 26,000 watts for 24 hours a day. In addition to the radio, we host live shows, station-wide events, and charity drives to serve the greater Athens community. Tune into our frequency at 90.5FM or check out our web stream!

What Do We Play?

Since our founding in 1972, WUOG has been committed to uplifting smaller artists. Therefore, we have some pretty strict rules on who we give airtime. Barring minor exceptions, WUOG only plays artists who have not had a Billboard Hot 100 single in the last 20 years, or who have not had a Billboard Top 20 Album ever. This ensures the exposure of hundreds of different artists to our audience, 24 hours a day.
