Annual SD Express Student Project Competition
SD Express Student Competition is a world wide yearly event that was initiated by the SDA back in 2025. The annual competition attracts innovative student participants from prestigious universities around the world.
Each participating student project receives the same development platform:
- NVIDIA Jetson Orin™ Nano Super Developer Kit
- A microSD Express card along with M.2 to microSD Express adapter.
The subject of each project is completely at the discretion of the student and university, conditioned only on the use of the provided platform together with its microSD Express card.
From the SDA side, we are happy to challenge students to develop an application that utilizes the new PCIe/NVMe interface of the provided SD Express memory card as its central memory.
The best three projects are awarded prizes of $20K, $10K, and $5K, and have the opportunity to present their projects at one of the trade shows attended by the SDA.
2026 Competition – Following the successful 2025 program, the SDA continue with a similar competition this year.
